Obituary for Jack Lawrence McDonald

Jack Lawrence   McDonald
Jack (Johnny) McDonald, died peacefully on October 11, 2016 in Arborg, MB, at the age of 77. He was born in Winnipegosis on July 11, 1939 to the late Charles McDonald and Ida Parenteau.
Jack was a gentleman of many trades. He worked as a taxi driver, press operator and eventually retired after over 25 years of service, as a guard at the Stony Mountain Penitentiary. After retirement Jack was able to enjoy his true passions in life, nature, woodworking and his true love Susan. Together the two of them enjoyed their retirement years.
Jack’s children and grandchildren remember him as a brave free spirited soul, who could strike up a conversation with anyone and owned a genuine true heart of gold. He will be missed deeply by his siblings, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and his loyal companion Pinto.
A memorial service will be held in honor of Jack on Friday October 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mackenzie Funeral Home in Stonewall, MB. A reception is to follow shortly after at the Balmoral Hall in Balmoral, MB. All are welcome to attend.
