Obituary for Jean Lillian Senga

Jean Lillian Senga
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jean, aged 76.

She will be deeply missed by her husband Joseph of 57 years, children Glen (Barb), Marie (Leonard), Philip (Pam), Adam (Lori); grandchildren Justin (Shannon), Christine (Josh), Joey (Tashina), Tim, Meagan, Dillon, Brooklyn, Jacob, Ashley; great-grandchildren Peyten, Hayden, Benjamin; brother Jim; sister-in-law Anne; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jean was predeceased by her parents William and Tillie Lewkun. Jean was born on May 2, 1940. She met and married the love of her life Joseph on June 20, 1959. They made a life in Malonton, Manitoba where they built a loving home and farm and raised their family. She was a devoted mother and wife, caring for Joseph for over 23 years after he suffered a stroke. Over the years she entertained many with her musical talents at various social/family gatherings. She took great pride in her vegetable and flower gardens, spending many hours tending to them.

Jean treasured her husband, children and grandchildren. Baba was proud of each and every one of their accomplishments and had a special relationship with each of them. Her chocolate chip cookies were legendary with the whole family and she was constantly sending one of the kids home with a fresh batch-no one ever left her house without a full stomach.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 11:00 am, MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon, Manitoba. Interment to follow at Zbruch Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jacob, Joey, Justin, Dillon and Lawrence Senga, Josh Herlevsen and Mark Chorney.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Zbruch Cemetery, c/o Box 32, Malonton, MB, R0C 1Z0.
