Obituary for Edward Anniuk

Edward Anniuk
It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Ed on February 28, 2018 at the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital in Eriksdale, Manitoba. Ed was predeceased by his parents Nickolas and Victoria Anniuk, brother Stan Anniuk, cherished wife Natalie Anniuk, and beloved daughter Beverly Stevens. He will lovingly be remembered by his sisters Emily, Ann (Bill), Edie (Andy), brother in-law Bill (Diane), son Donald, son-in law Rick (Tracey), grandchildren Tracy (Justin), Alicia (Mike), Kari (Colin), and his great-grandchildren James, Emily, Owen, Evan, Tyson, Ella, and Eden, and many nieces and nephews. Ed was born in Winnipeg and grew up in Polson, Manitoba. He took to farming at a young age working in Melnice with his father, Nikolas. He later met and married the love of his life, Natalie in Pleasant Home. Together, they moved to Matlock and raised their family on the farm. Ed was a hard worker who took pride in his livelihood. He spent his later years enjoying his garden, working in his garage, and going for Sunday drives to town with Natalie. Ed loved telling stories, listening to music, and playing cards with friends and family. He always made sure you felt at home when you came for a visit. Ed and Natalie moved to Vesturland Villa in Gimli after they left the farm and later to Betel Home. Ed was a devoted husband for 63 years, always caring for Natalie up until her passing. Our family wishes to express our sincerest gratitude to the staff of Gimli Betel Home and Dr. R.C Patel for all their care over the years. A celebration of Ed’s life will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon, MB. Luncheon to immediately follow. Interment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of your choice in Ed’s memory.
