‘It takes a village to raise a child’. I am so grateful I was privileged to be part of Hannah’s village, and also know her loving, supportive family. I first met Hannah in Oct 2014 when, as an EA, I joined her 104 family at Stonewall Collegiate. Hannah encouraged me over the following three years to expand my ‘tool box of tricks’ and come up with unique, fun ways to help her have awesome days and reach her goals. I shared the love of dogs with Hannah and we were having fun making dog treats, which she loved to share with her dogs, Teeko and Kane, at home. A favourite memory of Hannah is from one of our many visits to Quarry Pets. Her highlight was when Amigo, the store parrot, greeted her with singing ‘Hannah! Hannah!’ Oh how she smiled and giggled. And forever teased fellow EA, Mr. Bryce about Amigo, when back at school. I will so miss Hannah’s giggle, warm, loving heart, her ‘pokes’, her ‘don’t you dare!’ as well as ‘let’s go hide!’. I will miss Hannah, as so many will. Big hugs to her mom, Nicki, her dad, Doug, and sister, Alia, and to all who were so lucky to have had Hannah touch their lives 💕
