Lloyd was born at the homestead Hvitarvollum. After finishing school in Arborg he moved to
Edmonton to work in the oil fields then returned back to the farm and farmed until retirement. He was not a big traveller however travelled the world with his avid reading. In retirement loved his garden and shared his crop with his family.
A private man who enjoyed visiting with his children and grandchildren which was accented with his quick wit and gentle teasing which made people smile. He taught values of fairness and equality in all circumstances. He valued education and encouraged it. He was generous in his own way and family came first and he showed unconditional love to his wife, children and grandchildren.
As per his wishes a cremation has taken place and a private ceremony is planned.
Our family wishes to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Akinpelu and the staff of the Arborg personal care home, home care workers and Julie and Tannis at Gimli hospital.
