Obituary for Agnes Irene Violet Walstrom

Agnes Irene Violet Walstrom

With family by her side, Agnes passed away at the Concordia hospital on May 28, 2017.
Agnes was born on February 1, 1932 in Gunton, MB to Fred and Melissa Gosling.

Predeceased by her parents, her brother Alf Gosling and sister Muriel Walowetz, husband Ted Rothwell (1970) and Leonard Walstrom (2013). Surviving family is her sister Ruth Leduchowski, sister-in-law Cecil Swan and her six children and their families.

Agnes loved country music and enjoyed playing guitar and singing with Leonard. In her later years she especially enjoyed listening to the classic country music channel every day.
Agnes was very proud of her six children and thankful that they blessed her with an abundance of daughter and son-in-laws and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even a great-great grandchild.

She will be remembered by her children: Lynne (Gerry) Hesketh, Bob (Debbie) Strong, Mae (Dennis) Lyon, Gloria (Alan) Kilgallen, Ted (Dianna) Rothwell and Cindy Westfall. Her grandchildren: Garret and Derek Hesketh; Corey, Travis and Sheldon Strong; Les Kiesman and Theresa Kiesman-Elton; Cheryl Whittington; Michelle and Allison Rothwell; Clayton and Veronica Westfall and all of their families.

The family is so thankful for the loving care that Agnes received at Red River Place in Selkirk from 2011 to 2013 and at Rosewood Lodge in Stonewall over the last few years. She truly enjoyed visiting with and getting to know all of the staff that took such good care of her over the years.

A private family memorial will be held later this year.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rosewood Lodge Courtyard Project, 513 1st Ave. North, Stonewall MB, R0C 2Z0.
