Obituary for Janet Hilda Shaw
Sadly, on May 25th, 2017 Mom lost her battle with cancer and is now at peace. She is survived by her daughter Janna (Howie) and grandchildren Chantal and Alyssa. Also, left to mourn are her sisters June (Alf), Margaret (John), Mary (Clive) and her brother John (Margaret), extended family Kim Shaw and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents George and Hilda Aves.
Mom was born in Rotherham, England on April 23, 1946 and moved to Canada in 1970. She will always be remembered for her passion for horses and her love for her dog Hailey. Mom loved to have visitors over for a cup of tea and to chat with her many friends.
A celebration of life will be held at the Stonewall Legion at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 2nd, 2017. As Mom loved animals, in lieu of flowers friends can donate to a pet rescue of their choice.
