Obituary for Paul Skura
In loving memory of Paul Skura, who passed away peacefully on March 12, 2017 at the Arborg District Hospital.
Paul is survived by his sister Anne Gray (Don) of Winnipeg along with their children Robert (Sharleen), Kathie Partridge (Kevin), Bruce (Vanessa); sisters-in-law Mary Skura of Kitchener and Polly Skura of Toronto. Paul is also survived by nieces and nephews; Jim (Sally), Harry (Bea), Bob (Sharon), Joan, Allan (Debbie), Donna (Greg), Sandy (James), Debbie (Barry), Gayle (Rob), Pat, Beverly (Steve) and Sandra along with many great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Mike and Frank and sisters Rose (Ken) Thompson and Bess (Bill) Cipuzak.
Paul was born to Mary and Harry Skura on October 16, 1926 in the New Valley District west of Arborg, Manitoba. He dedicated his entire life to frugally taking care of the family farm settled by his parents. He had the good fortune to do what was in his blood; that was to grow crops, raise livestock and care for the many pets he always had and loved. The farm meant more to Paul than a piece of land or his livelihood; he put his heart and soul into nurturing his cattle and he took great pride in the quality of his herd. Many generations of the family visited the farm and have fond memories of those experiences.
A celebration of Paul’s life will be held at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Arborg on Monday, March 20th at 2:00 pm. Internment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Personal Care Fund, Box 935, Arborg, MB, R0C 0A0.
