TRACY ELAINE FINDLAY
We are incredibly sad to announce that Tracy Elaine Findlay, 46, of Warren Mb. passed away on Monday May 30, 2022 at Stonewall & District Health Center.
Tracy is survived by her husband of 24 years Andrew; children Bradley, Tyler and Isobella; mother Brenda Hollier; father and stepmother Tom and Marilyn Moloney; brother David Moloney; step siblings Sean McWatt, Susan McWatt-FitzGerald, Richelle Ross-Derksen, Brendon Hollier, and Michael Hollier; mother and father-in-law Lorna Findlay and Gene Wertepny. As well as many other relatives, and friends.
Tracy is predeceased by her Stepfather Garry Hollier.
After being born in Dauphin Manitoba, Tracy spent her early years in Stonewall and Brandon where she made many lifelong friends. After a short time in Thompson, she moved to Warren in 1991. Tracy started grade ten at WCI and that is where she met the love of her life Andrew, they have been together ever since making Warren their permanent home.
After high school graduation Tracy started her career in finance at the Royal Bank in Stonewall, the branch her dad had opened many years before. After a short stint as co-owner of Grants Grill with Andrew, Tracy went back into banking. She loved working with people and helping whenever she could through her many roles over the years at RBC, Sunova Credit Union, Westoba Credit Union and CIBC. Not to mention becoming great friends with many of her colleagues.
After her cancer diagnosis in 2010 Tracy underwent multiple surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation. Despite the best efforts of the wonderful people at Cancer Care Manitoba she was diagnosed with stage four metastatic breast cancer in 2016. It was at this point that Tracy had to leave banking and started to focus her time and effort into working with CAARE animal rescue. She was very passionate about helping to foster, fund raise and find furever homes for stray dogs. Again, she made many great friends through her work with CAARE.
When she wasn’t running with kids, dogs or one of the other many responsibilities she took on, she loved getting together with friends and family over drinks around a fire or a game of cards. Many hours were spent camping, out in the yard, or at the kitchen table making memories. Her only requirement for a good time was fun people to spend time with and a rye and coke with lots of ice.
Above all else, what she was most passionate about was her children. She would do anything, be anywhere or provide anything they needed. Brad, Ty and Bella were her sun, moon and stars. They were her whole universe, and she loved them more than words can describe. Even after she was diagnosed with heart failure and several mild strokes this past November, she summoned the strength to be there for them day in and day out right up until the end.
Special thanks to Dr. Harris and everyone at CancerCare Manitoba, as well as all of the many other doctors, nurses and health care professionals she met over the years.
A celebration of life will be held at Warren Memorial Hall on Saturday, June 11, 2022, come and go from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. A private interment will be held prior.
In lieu of flowers please donate to CancerCare Manitoba or an animal rescue of your choosing.
