Thaddeus (Ted) L. Mialkowski

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Ted Mialkowski, on February 2, 2022 at the age of 78 in Rockwood, MB.

Ted will be lovingly remembered by his wife Christine, and children, Teddy (Katia), Jacqui, Jeff (Michelle), and Phillip, as well as grandchildren, Ewyn, Alfred, Lucy, Rodri, Mateo.

He will also be missed by his brother Wally; sister-in-law Lorraine, and family members including nieces, nephews, and so many wonderful cherished friends, and neighbours.

Ted was predeceased by parents, Joseph and Leonia, sister Florence, brother-in-law Carl, sister-in-law Jean, brother Conrad, and other dear friends and relatives.

Born on September 3, 1943 in Winnipeg, Ted lived his entire life in Rockwood, Manitoba.

Ted became an electrician in the 1960s, and started his career at Kummen-Shipman Ltd. where he excelled in his trade as a well respected leader. He continued with his own successful electrical company, known for his generosity, quality workmanship, and integrity.

In 1971, Ted married Christine in London, England, his wife of over 50 years. Together they raised four children in the Rockwood area.

In retirement, he loved to keep busy in the shop that he built with his sons. Ted was a mechanical thinker and learned many skills and trades over the course of his lifetime. He was decisive, innovative and had a keen ability to solve problems. When visitors arrived, Ted always had time to stop for a coffee, and will always be remembered as a people person with his funny, good-natured attitude.

A great conversationalist, Ted loved telling stories, often with a funny twist. Ted loved hunting, and went on annual fishing trips that returned with even more stories.

Ted left a positive impression on others throughout his life. His qualities will continue to inspire his children and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed and his memory will forever be carried in our hearts.

A Celebration of Ted’s life will be held on Saturday, March 26th, at 10:00 a.m. 2022, at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall, MB
