March 13, 1991 – November 7, 2020
With heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Taylor Dibley at Health Science Center with family by her side. She was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend.
She was predeceased by her grandparents Paul and Lucy Zahayko, grandpa Dibley and Grandpa Edmand. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Scott and baby boy Jack, parents Murray and Debbie, sister Samantha (Derek), nephew Declan, niece Willow. Parents- in- law Jeff and Arlene, brothers and sisters- in- law, Jordan, Lisa (Korde), niece Theo, many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
Taylor was a beautiful woman inside and out. Her smile and beauty would light up the room. She was such a loving, caring, affectionate sharing person. She always was a people person and was loved by all.
Taylor was born in Winnipeg and grew up in Stony Mountain. Early on Taylor enjoyed weekends at her grandparent’s farm in East Selkirk playing with her cousins. She often talked about how much she fondly remembered our family camping and going to summer camps with friends. She was very close to her big sister Sam and maintained a close long-distance relationship later in life.
It was in school Taylor exhibited her athletic abilities in softball, soccer, track and field, and hockey. She was a quick study, determined, and successful in many endeavours. She especially enjoyed playing hockey, starting at age five right through to Women’s Junior Hockey. Spring hockey trips with friends and family to Minneapolis were highlights of many seasons.
Her kind, loving personality led her to follow her sister’s footsteps and pursue her education at Red River where she received a diploma in Early Childhood Education, then attending University of Winnipeg to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Child Development. Taylor formed many special relationships while working at Starting Blocks. In 2018 she joined Service Canada in the Canada Pension call centre.
In 2010 she met the love of her life Scott, marrying in 2016. Scott is such a loving, supportive and carefree husband; they made a perfect couple. Taylor was his anchor and that difference made their bond strong. They shared a love of travel and adventure always laughing along the way. They bought their first house in Stony Mountain and completed renovations in a few years. They then moved to Stonewall and decided to start a family.
On Taylor’s 28th birthday, March 13 2019, Jack Burton was born. Jack completed their perfect family. Taylor’s favorite things to do with Jack were reading books, spending time outdoors, doing art and spending time on playdates with her friends. She was so proud to watch him achieve every milestone. As a family they enjoyed going for daily bike rides, going to the beach, camping, and playing at the park, she didn’t let her illness slow her down. Taylor always put others needs first. Taylor hardly complained, and continued to make plans for tomorrow.
It’s hard to believe we won’t hear her laugh, or see her smile again, but we will forever hold it in our hearts. Kind was her nature, true were her ways, we will treasure her memories for the rest of our days. We love you to the moon and back Taylor.

We would like to thank the many family and friends that donated to Taylor’s GoFundMe page and contributed to Taylor’s Troops CancerCare Challenge for Life. Thank you to all the special people who have brought food, flowers, gift cards and acts of kindness.
Thank you to the staff and nurses at HSC’s GD6 ward and CancerCare that looked after Taylor with the utmost care, compassion and kindness.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
In keeping with Taylor’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, we will have a ceremony celebrating Taylor’s life at a later date.
