Obituary for Stefan Brander Eyolfson

Suddenly, at home on the morning of August 7, 2019 Stefan Eyolfson passed away. Leaving to mourn, his wife Patricia of 54 years; children Ernest, Ian (Denise), Pamela (Greg); Grandchildren Rachel, Logan, Ashley, Kristine, Tiffany, Shianna, Emily and Bethany; Great grandchildren Caden, Brady, Thane, Edith, Benna, Nora, Rose and Hazel.

Predeceased by his parents Jon and Gudrun Eyolfson, in-laws Frank and Margaret Koblun, siblings Joe, Evelyn, Jorunn, Stoney, Lloyd, Johnny, Thora and Louise.

Dad was born the youngest sibling in Winnipeg. He attended Tarno School where he made lifelong friends. After school, he followed his siblings to work in several mines. Returning to Riverton, he met and married Patricia Koblun. Dad worked delivering mail before working at Riverton Boat Works while farming as well. Dad found his forte welding, which he continued until his last days repairing boat props. Dad provided a home or help to many nieces and nephews who always held him in high regard. Dad continued to be a source of advice, information or help to all who knew him. Dad was a founding member of the Riverton Elks Lodge #530. He received his 50 year pin this spring. Dad had a talent for music and still played his violin at family request. Mom and Dad welcomed everyone in their home, always ready with a glass of home made wine.

He will be deeply missed. A private service will be held. In liew of flowers, donations can be made to the Riverton Cemetery.
