It is with heart felt sadness, that I am informing the community of Stonewall of the passing of my sister Sandra Diane Evelyn. She was born July 27th, 1941 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and in her early years was adopted by Dr. William Fredrick Dawson Evelyn, and his wife Elsie Agnes Evelyn. She enjoyed her Church "New Life" with Pastor Henry Ozirney, and the fellowship she received there. She audited several University courses in English Literature and Theology.
She had a sharp wit, plus a great sense of humor, with those she felt comfortable with, and we, all of her friends and family will miss her capacity to enjoy her appreciation of life. She loved to drive her little red car around town and often helped her Dad with the driving on holiday trips.
She passed away peacefully at Tudor House in Selkirk Manitoba, on January 13, 2023. She moved to Tudor House in 2006, and enjoyed her time there with people around her, activities on a daily basis, as well as visits by her family and special friends Pat and Connie.
There will be a small service, officiated by Pastor Henry Ozirney at the Church New Life in Stonewall on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 2:00 pm. Sandra's ashes will be interred in the Stonewall Cemetery, with her adopted Mother Agnes Evelyn.
