He was predeceased by his mother Melvina Godin; his mother-in-law Fjola Bonkowski; his sisters Gail Zilkie and Sherilee Caron and sister-in-law Victoria Godin.

Randy was born on May 12, 1953 in The Pas, MB. In his early years he worked at several jobs in The Pas before moving to Winnipeg in 1971. It was there that he met the love of his life Bridget and on September 2, 1972 they were married. In May of 1975 they moved to Leaf Rapids, the place he felt most at home. He worked at Ruttan Mine for 29 years, he started off in the open pit driving truck, then heavy equipment and numerous other jobs. For many years, he was actively involved with the USWA local 8144 and after hours he enjoyed having a few beers with the boys. He truly loved The North. Everlasting memories were created while fishing, camping and boating with his family. When Ruttan Mine closed in 2002, Randy and Bridget relocated to Riverton, MB. He continued to work first at Vidir Machine and then at Sunterra Horticulture. He retired in 2017.

He especially enjoyed having his children and grandchildren visiting. On nice summer days he could often be found sitting outside enjoying what he called “The Best View in Town”. He loved sports of all sorts especially watching the Jets and the Bombers play. He also enjoyed family winter vacations to Mexico and Jamaica.

Rest in peace Randy…until we met again.

Lovingly remembered by your wife, Bridget and family.

Respecting Randy’s wishes there will be no funeral service.
