Obituary for Pauline Mary Golas
PAULINE MARY GOLAS (nee Wevursky)
April 12, 1936 - January 1, 2023
Pauline Golas, aged 86 years, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Pauline is survived by her children Bernard (Donna Rae), Donna (Glen), Joanne (Lance) and David (Patty); grandchildren Brett, Kassandra, Berea, Brenton, Angelo, Kye, Anthony, and Ethan; sisters Ollie, Jennie and Lorraine, as well as cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband Paul, parents Mary and Fred, and brother Lorne.
Mom and Dad lived on the farm until 2014 when they then moved to the Lodge in Arborg. Having lost Dad in 2017, Mom did exceptionally well living on her own. She enjoyed attending the various singing get-togethers at the Lodge, going to church, going out to Zans Family Restaurant or Chicken Chef in Arborg, eating out at Seagulls in Gimli, walking along the pier, taking summer drives to Fisher Branch, Hecla Island and spending time at Clear Lake. Mom loved flowers and her place and patio were always filled with beautiful colourful gems. Mom’s pride and joy were her grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
A heartfelt thank you to the Home Care staff for their compassion and care that they gave to our Mom. No words are adequate in expressing our appreciation for everything that you folks did for her. Thank you to Dr. Donnelly and staff at the Arborg Personal Care Home for the attentive care given to our Mom. A private service was held. We will miss you, Mom! See you in Heaven!
