MARTHA MAE PENNER (MERSEREAU)
JULY 19, 1938 - JULY 26, 2022
Martha Penner, beloved wife, mother, and nana peacefully passed away on July 26, 2022 at the hospital in Teulon, Manitoba
Martha was born in Hampton, New Brunswick and was the youngest to a family of 7.
Martha moved to Winnipeg in 1957 with her mother and sisters. She worked as a secretary at Eatons and the Manitoba Doctor’s Association.
In the early part of 1963, she met Vern and by September of that same year they were married. In 1970 they moved to Argyle, Manitoba where they began their farming life.
Martha enjoyed singing, (she belonged to choirs at the United and Baptist churches), gardening, tending to her flowers, painting, and art, playing piano/keyboard, writing poetry, travelling, sewing, knitting, and listening to music. Vern was a pilot, so they flew in his plane quite often and took many camping trips as well.
Martha leaves behind her husband Vernon, son Calvin (Cathy), grandchildren Nikki and Eric and many nieces and nephews.
