Obituary for Mark Bergen
MARK DANIEL BERGEN
January 19, 1976 - July 9, 2021
It is with sadness, that we the family, announce the sudden passing of our beloved son and brother Mark Daniel Bergen on July 9, 2021 from COVID 19.
Mark is survived by and will be always missed and loved by his mother, Elsie Bergen, and stepfather, Leo Naaykens. Mark is survived by brothers Jonathan and Steven as well as brother Bruce Youd (Brayden). Mark is survived by his Aunt and god-mother Joyce Doering (John) of Stonewall, his Uncle John Huewan of Arborg, his Aunt Marguerite Rogalsky of Winnipeg and his Aunt Verna Doering in Chilliwack British Columbia as well as numerous cousins and other extended family members.
Mark was lucky in life to have close connections with dear and special life-long friends, his employer family at Trans-X trucking who have been so supportive during this difficult time, as well as Mark’s friends and supports from various car and racing clubs that he belonged to throughout the province.
Mark was predeceased by his father, Victor Bergen in 2010, by grandparents Elizabeth and Elias Bergen and grandparents John and Katie Huewan.
As per Mark’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a private family service but no formal funeral service.
Family would like to express their gratitude and gratefulness to both the Health Sciences Centre ICU team and the St. Boniface Hospital ICU treatment team who were so empathetic and supportive throughout this very difficult transition.
