Joan Marie Marr (Braun)

After a brief illness, Joan passed away peacefully, with her devoted husband by her side.
Joan was the daughter of Jake and Kay Braun of Austin, MB and grew up on the family farm. Joan attended school in Forestville, Austin, MacGregor, and later on Red River Community College for her LPN. Joan worked at several hospitals during her career including Portage, Grace, Yorkton, Misericordia, Golden West Lodge and most recently at Rosewood Lodge.
On September 9, 2005, Joan married the love of her life Robert Marr. They resided at their acreage near Stony Mountain, MB. They enjoyed working together, maintaining their yard, and especially the hours of cutting grass.
Joan enjoyed all activities with family and friends, sports activities with nieces and nephews, often leading the cheering. She also enjoyed travel and weekends at their cabin. One of her favorite activities later in life was playing Pickle Ball with Rob and their friends.
Joan was predeceased by her parents Jake and Katherine Braun, and brother Harold, and is survived by her devoted husband Robert, faithful puppy Earl, as well as siblings Dorothy (John), Harvey (Joyce), Marvin, Ken (Christine), Ray (Mary), Muriel (Herb) and is survived by Robert’s family Lenore, Donnamae (Lynn), and Fred (Joanne).
