Obituary for Ida Ruby Hendry (Derksen)
Our mother Ida Hendry passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 17, 2019 with her daughter’s Terri and Dawn by her side at HSC.
Ida will be sadly missed by her daughter’s Terri and Dawn; brothers Bill (Liz), Bob (Gail) and John as well as many nieces, nephew’s and friends.
She married dad (Russell) on April 24, 1954.Mom worked as a nurse’s aide at Middlechurch Home. Mom’s final year she resided in Woodlands and enjoyed her time spent with her new friends at Oak Park Estates. She was very proud of her suite.
As per Mom’s wishes no funeral service will take place and cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 1379 Kenaston Blvd, Winnipeg, MB R3P 2T5.
Thank you to the ambulance, Stars ambulance, as well as the doctors, nurses and aides of Stonewall Hospital and HSC.
