Obituary for Gary Munro
GARY HERBERT MUNRO
August 9, 1940 – July 16, 2021
Hearts are heavy as the family of Gary Munro announce his passing on July 16, 2021 at the age of 80 years, in the Stonewall Hospital.
Gary was born August 9, 1940. He grew up on a family farm near Warren, Manitoba. He has lived the past 30 years in The Lions Manor in Stonewall.
He was predeceased by his parents Bill Munro (1982) and Muriel Munro (1996), his sister Jean Halvorsen (2020), his brother Bill Munro (2015), and brother-in-law John Halvorsen (1988).
Gary is lovingly remembered by his brother Ron (Mavis) and family members and friends.
The family would like to gratefully acknowledge the standard of care and the extended friendship the members of the Homecare team provided for Gary while in the Lions Manor. It was exceptional. “Thank you for making a difference in his life.”
Also, the family wishes to thank the medical staff at the Stonewall Hospital for their care and support.
Cremation has taken place and Gary will rejoin his family members when his interment takes place at the Stonewall Cemetery. A family graveside ceremony will take place at a later date.
Gary’s earthly journey is over and we find peace in knowing when he left this world he left the pain behind.
