Ev Sawatzky
May 2, 1962 – July 2, 2022
Heaven has one more angel. On July 2, 2022, Evelyn Sawatzky passed away with family by her side.
Born and raised in St. James, this city girl turned country gal with the move to Argyle, Manitoba.
Left to treasure her memory is John Reimer, her partner of 32 years, her children Samantha (Patrick) and RJ (Katy), 5 grandsons, parents Maureen Moskal and Mike Moskal, 5 sisters Merrilee, Jackie, Maureen, Carrie, and Brandy along with their families, and the Reimer family.
Ev was enthusiastic about life. She had a wonderful sense of humour with an easy laugh. Although short in stature, she exuded a vivacious personality. Ev was compassionate, generous, and loving. She fostered many strong relationships and relished time spent with family, especially with her grandsons.
Although experiencing some struggles in her life, Ev managed through determination and strength of character to contend with her health obstacles.
Her interests were many and varied from movies, shopping, and crafting to creating jewellery and glass art.
A heartfelt thank you for the excellent care provided by the staff at Stonewall Hospital.
A celebration of life will be held August 27 at 1:00pm in the Argyle Community Hall.
