October 16, 1938 - September 22, 2020
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear little mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. We were with her to the very last when she peacefully took her leave of us.

Left missing her are her six children; Esther (Travis), Ada (Eric), Lorna (Fausto), Tom (Josie), Shelley, and Jeremy (Jane). She was proud to have five grandchildren, Caleb (Kim), Rebekah (Ivan), Ronnie, Sheena and Gavin. Also, her great-granddaughter Alicia. So many friends, but especially her dearest friend Kay.

Effie was raised in Argyle, MB, and lived her entire adult life in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her mother (Ethel May Watts) and father (William Cornelius Mannetje).

Besides caring for her family, she worked many years as a manager for Bargain World. Mom became a dedicated servant of Jehovah at 16 years of age and remained faithful and true.

The family would like to express their deep appreciation for the dedicated care she received at The Revera Waverley and Rosewood and finally at Extendicare Tuxedo Villa.

Cremation has taken place as per her wishes and a memorial service will be held by Zoom conference, October 5, at 7:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, please kindly consider a donation to the:
Alzheimer Society of Manitoba
