Edwin is predeceased by his parents Peter and Bronislawa Kowalsky, 2 infant brothers, brother Walter, and so many brother and sister in laws. His Nephew Richard and Great Nephew Riley.

Edwin was born on March 12, 1934 in Morweena, MB to Peter and Bronislawa who immigrated from Austria
and Poland. Dad was the youngest of 5 children. He attended school in Morweena until the age of 13, he then
helped on the farm with his father. As a young boy he had a love for animals and that carried on throughout
his life. Edwin met Lillian as a young man and they were married on October 4, 1958. Together they built their
home beside his parents. Over the next 10 years they welcomed 7 children. Dad worked away at numerous
jobs during the winter, and always came back to farming. Dad and Mom took lots of pride in their yard and
spent many hours planting large gardens and countless trees. They enjoyed raising pigs and chickens to help
provide for their growing family. In his early 70s he retired from farming, but always stayed busy.

Dad was proud to live in Morweena his entire life, an area that his Mother and Grandfather helped name. He
had the greatest sense of humour, was a great listener and was always more than welcome to open the doors of their home, even to complete strangers. Dad loved anything to do with building and innovating. As we all know he would always be the first one there to lend a hand to anyone who needed. Our Dad wore many hats from being a carpenter, welder, mechanic, road builder, pulp cutter, and his biggest pride of all was being a farmer. He also had many hobbies including hunting, ice fishing, playing crib with good friends, watching
Jeopardy, wood working, and any chance to spend time in the meat shop with family and friends. He enjoyed
sharing many of his hobbies with his grandchildren. Dad has left us with the gift of taking pride in all that we
do, and to work hard and take care of each other.

Dad was very proud to have his Parents house moved to the Arborg Heritage Village. He and his family and
friends helped restore the home that he was born in.
