Obituary for Debra Ann Stadnyk (Hayman)
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announce the passing of Debra Ann Stadynk (Hayman) on November 22, 2019. Deb was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on July 3rd, 1955. Deb spent her younger years growing up in Bowsman, Manitoba with her Mother Olga Hayman and her three siblings Kevin, Theresa and Cindy. She later moved to The Pas to complete her Clerical Diploma. She worked at various clerical positions. She worked as a Mental Health Proctor, at The Women’s Abuse Shelter, as well as a Nurses Aide in The Pas. Deb then decided to further her education and fulfill her dream of becoming a Nurse. Deb successfully completed her Nursing Degree in Flin Flon, MB. She worked as a Nurse in The Pas and Flin Flon and ended her career as a Case Coordinator for Home Care in Flin Flon. Deb believed strongly in, compassion, respect and dignity for all those she cared for. She loved her job, and her clients and fulfilled her passion to help others.
One of Debs happiest moments and greatest joys was the day her son Spencer was born. He truly was her pride and joy and best friend. Spencer will also willingly tell you his mom was honestly his best friend ever and they both loved their daily talks to each other, and their planning of their weekly Sunday meal get together for supper from something that they had often picked off Pinterest that looked yummy. Debs love for gardening was inherited from her Mom and Baba and she passed this passion and love of gardening on to Spencer. They spent many hours planning and planting their gardens together.
Deb met the love of her life her husband to be Lorne Stadnyk in Flin Flon shortly after completely her Nursing Degree. As his daughter Stacey said her Dad said after their first date Deb was just so beautiful.
They bought a home at Schist Lake where all the ducks soon learned the Stadnyk’s residence was a great diner and a place to get a free meal. Deb was blessed to become a gramma upon births of two beautiful grandchildren Jagger and Willow born to Stacey and Jeff. She looked forward to willow and Jaggers visits and a chance to spoil them and they too looked forward to all the fun to be had and being spoiled. Deb and Stacey formed a very special bond with each other, cherished by both.
Deb had a kind and gentle soul. All who knew Deb knew she loved everything sparkly and glittery. One of her favorite times of the year was Christmas and her love of decorating their house inside and out.
Deb and Lorne retired and move to Teulon, MB. where Deb got her other passion fulfilled, her own green house known to her family as her “petunia patch”. Deb loved bingo, garage sales but most of all she loved her family, fur friends and birds.
Deb leaves to mourn her husband Lorne, her son Spencer Campbell, and her stepdaughter Stacey (Jeff) Alban and their two children Jagger and Willow. Deb also leaves to mourn sister Theresa Hardie (Bruce) their three children Rae-Anne (Jos), Steven (April), Adrianne, Amanda (Paul), Roseanna and Grace, sister Cindy Hayman, good friend Brenda, brother-in-law Larry (Tammy), sisters-in-law Lark (Wayne) Kenke. Several close cousins.
Deb was predeceased by her Mother Olga Hayman, brother Kevin Hayman and her Baba and Gido John and Mary Hrynkiw.
The family would like to thank the medical teams at HSC and Cancer Care in Winnipeg , and also a big thank you to Dr. Kerr Graham of Stonewall, MB and all the wonderful Nursing staff and team, who tenderly cared for Deb while at the Stonewall hospital.
Celebration of life will take place at a later date.
