Pre-deceased by parents Mae (Cordiner) and Bill Newton, sister Lee and brother Brent. Lovingly missed by wife Tammy Shimoji, son Curtis (Sherry) and grandson Carson, brother Blaine (Leslie), nieces Alyssa, Jessica and Emma - who adored their Uncle Newt - and his own beloved aunt and uncle, Margaret and Barry Brookes. Boyd will be deeply missed by so many close friends - too many to name, but you know who you are and how much he loved you.

Boyd was a woodcrafter, an entrepreneur, a biker, a people magnet, a storyteller, a bullshitter, a music lover, a country gentleman and a truth teller. He was gruff-voiced, rough-bearded, big-hearted and twinkly-eyed. He was a little boy in long pants.

The world will be quieter - possibly more well-ordered, but much less fun.
