Obituary for Bernice Ford

BERNICE FORD

The family is saddened to announce the passing of Bernice Alberta Ford on January 11th, 2022. She has gone home to be with her best friend and Mom, Doris Gardiner and her beloved son, Bryan. After a brief stay in the hospital battling multiple issues, she succumbed to her ailments.

Bernice spent most of her adult life in the Stonewall and Eriksdale area working mainly in the restaurant industry where she enjoyed sharing her excellent cooking skills. She could be found many nights visiting and playing crib at the Stonewall Legion in her younger years. At Crocus Manor, she enjoyed playing cards, Bingo and completing a puzzle or two with her friends. Bernice’s road in life was a struggle with many health and personal challenges yet she did her best to enjoy life. She will be remembering as a quiet, hardworking and caring person.

Bernice is survived by her father, Roy Nordal; children: Kimberly Brandson (Andy Mormul), Tyler & Jsyl Ford, Anjie Cheadle; her grandchildren: Mandy Brandson (Blair Anderson), Nathan Brandson (Sharon Dowd), Alex Harrison, Jordan Cheadle (Shailee Essery), Jessica Cheadle (Dennis Georgison); 9 great grandchildren; siblings: Joyce McGregor, Betty & Larry Morgan, Roy and Sandy Nordal along with her stepbrothers and sisters; numerous nieces, nephews, Aunts and Uncles.

Go in Peace – You have earned your sleep.

She will be missed.

Due to the current Covid restrictions, a family service at the grave site will be held at a later date.
