Obituary for Beatrice Doan (Pulfer)
BEATRICE DOAN (nee PULFER)
Beatrice passed peacefully on March 1 at Golden West Centennial Lodge, age 96.
A lifelong resident of Balmoral, great-great grandmother Bea was predeceased by husband Dr. Kenneth (2003), sons Garth (2012) and Keith (2017), sisters Dorothy, Lucille and Phyllis and brother James. Survived by brother Cliff (Carol), son Craig and daughter Holly (Tom).
A proud descendent of Manitoba pioneers, Bea worked for the Hudson’s Bay Company prior to marriage in 1948. She was a charter member of the Teulon Golf & Country Club and active in 4-H and the Balmoral Curling Club.
We remember Bea as an enthusiastic community volunteer and the most elegant, stylish woman we ever knew. Family was her life. She loved to see us united.
Internment and family gathering is this July at Balmoral Victoria Cemetery.
