Obituary for Annette Marie Lucie Glowachuk

ANNETTE MARIE LUCIE GLOWACHUK (née Carrière)

On Sunday, October 24, 2021, at her home at Villa Youville, Ste. Anne, Manitoba, with family by her side, Annette Glowachuk, aged 78, passed away from Parkinson’s.

She was born on October 7, 1943 in St. Boniface hospital.

Predeceased by her parents Irène Léonne Demers in 1981 and Jean-Yves Carrière in 1985, she leaves to survive her husband of 56 years, Robert “Bob” Glowachuk, her daughter Kim-Marie Cormier (Jim Courtney); her son Kelly and granddaughter, Sarah. She also leaves to survive her seven sisters and three brothers and their families, as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.

Annette loved being around and looking after people, especially her husband and children and her large extended family. She was an excellent cook and baker and was known for her Jellyroll! Annette kept an impeccably neat and clean house, to the point that even her “Junk” drawer was organized and labelled!! Annette loved country music and sung along to the radio that was always playing in her kitchen. After the family moved to Stonewall in 1985, Annette spent a lot of her time in her large garden, and with the various animals they raised over the years.

The family would like to thank the staff and doctors of Villa Youville in Ste. Anne, Manitoba and at Chalet Malouin in St. Malo, Manitoba, for their excellent care and compassion they bestowed on Annette while she called those places her home.

Due to COVID and the current restrictions, a Celebration of Life and Internment Ceremony for Annette will be held in the Spring of 2022 in Otterburne, MB. Further information can be found at mackenziefh.com.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Parkinson Canada on her behalf.
