Obituary for Agnes (Etta) Fetterman (Grange)
Agnes Fetterman passed away peacefully on the evening of September 20, 2021.
Agnes was predeceased by her beloved husband Bill, her sister Meta, and her brothers, Billy and Jack.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Nancy, her son-in-law Chris, her grandchild and her nieces and nephews.
Agnes was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland and moved to Canada with her friend Shelagh Miller in the 1950’s. She was a modern working woman in the 50s and 60s who enjoyed her job with CP Rail and spending time wither friends.
She met Bill Fetterman in the 60s and in 1969 they got married. She was a loving wife and mother and was involved in the local United Church, The WI (Women’s Institute), and the Grosse Isle Community Club. She and Bill bowled, and Agnes learned to skate and curl when she moved to Grosse Isle.
She enjoyed travelling and was a quick-witted person who was more than willing to waste the time of phone scammers.
A private family service will be held to lay her to rest. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
