Obituary for Patricia Rose-Marie Claudette Millar (Chartrand)
After a long illness, it is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones.
Patsy touched many lives as an educator, volunteer, and her work in keeping her Michif French language and culture alive; co-chairing committees that produced the St. Laurent History Book, and The Michif French Dictionary, to name a few. She loved to travel, and was incredibly adventurous. Her curious and mischievous nature was admired by many.
She was predeceased by her mother and father, Ludovic and Maggie Chartrand, sisters Berthe and Therese, and brother Norman.
She will be greatly missed by her husband Raymond, children Warren (Cherie), Duane (Nancy), and Crystal (Karl), grandchildren Gage, Tawney, Taina, Shaylee and Rya, siblings Alfred (Therese), Donat, Yolanda, Denise, Donna and Rita, and special niece Rita, along with many, many in-laws, extended family and friends.
At mom’s request, family and friends are invited to attend her Celebration of Life, to be announced at a later date. Special thanks to the staff at The Grace and Seven Oaks Hospitals for the care they provided her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Canadian Liver Foundation.
