Obituary for Peter Frank Pshyshlak

Suddenly but peacefully in his ninetieth year, Peter passed away at home on November 12th, 2018. He was predeceased by his parents Karol and Agnes, brothers Jack and Joseph, and sisters Carol, Emily, Anne, and Antonia. He will be missed by Kathryn, his beloved wife of nearly 60 years; his loving daughters Nancy Kerr and Sam Pshyshlak; sisters Betty Berkowski and Genevieve Pshyshlak; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Peter was born in Oakburn, MB on January 2, 1929 where he grew up on the family farm. He served 24 years in the Canadian Armed Forces, including a posting to Churchill, MB, where he met and married Kathryn. He worked at Eaton’s for 10 years after leaving the army. In 1986, he retired to the country where he enjoyed watching birds and other wildlife, gardening, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Peter may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of one’s choice.
